We offer three flexible ways to study for the Wiring Regulations qualification, allowing you to choose the option that best suits your schedule and learning style.
Daytime Classroom Option
Attend in person over two consecutive daytime sessions, followed by the exam. If you’re not ready immediately, there’s no pressure — you can book the exam for a later date.
Live Online Option
Join a live online session with a tutor, then complete practice papers in your own time at home. Once you’re ready, you can book an exam slot at your convenience. This option is ideal for independent learners who prefer the flexibility of studying from home.
Both study formats are designed to support your learning goals while fitting around your work and life commitments.
We also offer a Distance Learning Option, please see below for more details.

Here’s a bit more information about our blended learning option:
We use a successful 3 step approach to our 18th Edition qualification:
1. Complete the real-time online tuition session with a live tutor covering each part of the Electrical Wiring Regulations BS7671
2. Practice with the help of our brand new, up to date worksheets with example questions representative of questions in the real exam
3. Attend one of our training centres for a live face to face revision session with an experienced tutor and complete the official City & Guilds exam.
This course also offers a ‘Blended Learning’ option with a mixture of live online classroom tuition, home study (Up to date revision material provided) and In-classroom revision session at one of our training centres with an experienced tutor + Exam included.
Advantages of an online/blended learning programme for courses that are predominantly theory based:
- Flexibility: Online/blended learning allows students to access course materials and lectures at their own convenience. This flexibility is particularly beneficial for those with busy schedules, such as working professionals, parents, or individuals with other commitments.
- Accessibility: Online/blended courses are accessible from anywhere with an internet connection. This eliminates the need for students to commute to a physical location, making education more accessible to individuals who may not have access to traditional educational institutions.
- Cost-Efficiency: Online/blended courses are often more affordable than traditional in-person classes.
- Self-Paced Learning: Online/blended courses often allow students to learn at their own pace. This can be advantageous for individuals who need more time to grasp certain concepts or who want to accelerate their learning.
- Interactive Learning: Online/blended platforms often incorporate various multimedia elements, such as videos, quizzes, and interactive simulations, which can make learning more engaging and effective.
- Reduced Environmental Impact: Online learning can contribute to a reduction in carbon emissions since it eliminates the need for commuting and physical facilities.
It’s important to note that while online learning offers numerous advantages, it is not suitable for every course that we deliver. Many of our students thrive in a traditional classroom setting, and many of our subjects require hands-on, practical instruction and assessment.
However online/blended learning has an extremely high rate of success for courses that are mainly theory based like the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
