There is no prior experience required for this course. You will get plenty of hands-on experience of using test equipment, alongside learning all of the regulations and theory behind Portable Appliance Testing as well as gaining a solid grounding in basic electrical theory.

All successful candidates will receive the EAL Level 3 Award In the In-Service Inspections and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) qualification including certificate.

This one day course consists of a practical assessment and a multiple choice open book test.
You will require the current edition of The IET Code of Practice for In Service Inspection of Electrical Equipment ( Green book available separately)
The book can be used in your exam if necessary.
